	Catalan artist Morano was born in 1978 in Barcelona’s historic Hospital de Sant Pau to parents who emigrated from Andalusia. Within a year his family relocated from central Barcelona to a working-class suburb on the periphery of the city. Hemmed in by industrial estates and removed from the natural world, drawing and painting emerged as tools for self-exploration and expression.
In the early 90s Morano and a crew of local kids took their drawing and painting onto the streets and also into the empty interiors of abandoned industrial buildings. The vast textured walls of derelict tanneries, textile mills and appliance manufacturing plants became canvases for graffiti inspired by skate culture and vinyl record cover illustrations.
Morano created his first murals at age thirteen incorporating stylised lettering and other typographical symbols, but his focus gradually shifted to the faces of the people who inhabited the declining industrial landscapes: faces that now form an integral part of his fragmented urban scenes, and to whose scars, faults, and frailties he gives poetic life.
 
	To reach the emotional truth of each figure, while alluding to underlying aspirations and dreams, Morano’s compositions always proceed without pre-planning. Instead of imposing a predetermined scheme, Morano’s murals build from the emotional charge guiding each stroke, resulting in surfaces suffused with a musical energy in which discords and syncopations play a significant part.
From the mid 90s to the early 00s Morano’s work appeared regularly in outdoor exhibitions and throughout Europe’s independent street scene publications. A career in graphic design and commercial illustration naturally followed.
Morano is currently Creative Director of the Barcelona-based design firm he founded in 2014 (Vibranding). Working remotely from his design studio in Melbourne, Australia, he quietly maintains that he has only ever had one job.

	CVBØIDS offers a fascinating glimpse into the kaleidoscopic nature of the psyche. It's a journey of self-discovery, an invitation to explore the myriad ways in which we perceive and experience the world.
	 Through a series of thought-provoking statements, CVBØIDS challenges us to contemplate the intricate interplay of unity and division, the delicate dance between emotions and expressions. It's an exploration of the ever-shifting landscape of our own identities, a testament to the complexity and beauty of the human experience.

	
	Using pictorial techniques on recycled cardboard, CVBØIDS constructs an emotional geography grounded in materiality and ephemerality. The living texture of the manually intervened boxes generates shifting forms that reveal intimate contradictions and silent inner landscapes.
 
	This process culminates in a video art piece created through stop-motion, where each reconfiguration captures the fleeting instant in which one emotional state transforms into another.


	Is the psyche from the point of view of experience.
Is the multiplication and complication of self.
Is to improvise a thousand ways to see and be.
Is the flicker of expressions on the nether side of a face.Is a gaze that obliquely receives as it perceives.Is process arrested in pure states of unrest.


	Is an eye blinking on the periphery of sleep.Is a thought experiment that divides as it unites.Is a visual modular emotion-making machine.Is an arcane tableau and sum of indivisible parts.Is pigment applied to cardboard packaging.CVBØIDS are lines and planes collapsing into new geometries.

Big Picture Fest is set to transform Frankston’s city every year with an explosion of colour and art . Every year a selection of eleven of Australia and the world’s most renowned street artists work intensiveliy for a week.

	This mural serves as a visual metaphor for the self-imposed isolation of contemporary life. Morano depicts individuals confined within brightly lit windows, symbolizing the barriers we erect between ourselves and others. 
The work suggests that our fear of vulnerability and connection can lead to profound loneliness, trapping us within our own constructed realities.

Urban Capsules was conceived when Morano was invited to exhibit in concert with Ventana Fiesta, a local celebration of Latin art and culture. In addition to a selection of Morano’s urban scenes on canvas, Urban Capsules involved the creation of an ephemeral installation. Comandeering the Glass Cube Gallery — a highly visible space that projects into the Frankston Arts Centre’s front forecourt — Morano’s art making was now cast as a live public spectacle and streamed online performance. Comprising a series of painted sculptures foregrounding a chaotic but musically rhythmic panorama, the installation, suffused in chrome yellows and sky blues, depicted a frenetic rising architectural panoply, transpierced by airy avenues and peopled by dreamy revelers. 


Upon completion of the installation, a projection of its creation was incorperated into the arrangement, while a sequenced chromatic light show brought Morano’s spectacular vision to life at night.

“This body of work comes from memories of my childhood in the suburbs of Barcelona and is based on the scenes surrounding me when I was painting murals over train rails. The suburb I remember was dominated by factory labourers and street culture, and by residential buildings surrounded by industrial estates. These works represent the vision of a child beginning to comprehend the lack of opportunity. Through these paintings, I began to more fully understand an important part of my life.“ — Morano, Painter.

Música per a camaleons, InCivics was an exhibition curated by Lluís Noguera and organised by Jaume Casacuberta for the Granollers Museum in which seven InCivics artists responded to a series of interview-based documentaries produced by Catalan TV — Channel 33.Morano responded to an interview with Spanish psychiatrist and author Carlos Castilla del Pino, who is celebrated for his research on depression and human isolation, and for his fight to humanise the treatment of the mentally ill. The discussion centered around Pino’s latest publication, “El delirio, un error necesario” [Delerium, a necessary mistake].

The result, Vacío (Empty), was an ephemeral installation that drew a live audience directly into the artwork’s creation, while providing an emmersive experience of a compromised mental state.
The project deployed light projections and a soundscape recording to accompany a fifty-minute multimedia painting performance.Appearing to emerge in discrete frames from empty space, a twenty-one meter long mural created live onsite, and constructed to immitate the paneled sequencing of a comic book, depicted a subject’s progression through various modes of mental anguish towards an experience of emptiness and entropy.The installation represents a chapter in Morano’s ongoing concern for the dignified treatment of those struggling with mental health.
